southern cross electrical engineering (ASX:SXE) has secured $125 million in new contracts across data centres, desalination plants and transport projects in Sydney.

Headquartered in Perth, the company provides electrical, instrumentation and communications services to the infrastructure, resources and commercial sectors.

Recent achievements include a contract with data center operator NEXTDC for the electrical installation of the M3 data center in Melbourne.

Another major contract is for Barangaroo Underground Station in Sydney, where SCEE will carry out electrical works for the new underground station as part of a major expansion of Sydney Underground.

The company has also been awarded a contract for electrical work at the Alkimos desalination plant in Western Australia. The facility will enhance Perth’s water supply and desalination will play a key role in addressing the city’s long-term water needs.

Southern Cross shares rose 8.99% to $1.52.
