Pinnacle Investment Management (ASX:PNI) announced investments in two international asset management companies: VSS Capital Partners (VSS) and Pacific Asset Management (PAM). The total investment amount is $143 million. The acquisition aims to strengthen Pinnacle’s foothold in private capital and international markets.
In VSS, Pinnacle currently holds a 22.5% stake. The firm is a US-based structured capital firm with $961 million in funds under management. VSS, known for its expertise in healthcare, education and business services, plans to launch its $1.2 billion Fund V in 2025. Jeffrey Stevenson, Managing Partner at VSS, praised the partnership, saying: Help us achieve our growth potential. ”
In PAM, Pinnacle holds a 25% stake. PAM is a UK-based asset management company with $11 billion in assets under management. PAM focuses on technology-enabled solutions for advisors and wealth managers, providing significant opportunities to collaborate with Pinnacle’s existing affiliates.
Pinnacle raised $400 million through an offering from institutional investors to fund these acquisitions and support future initiatives.
The company is currently suspended from trading. The company’s stock last traded at $21.44.
